Story
These products were created by Hiroki Umeda, a designer who was trained in Finland, in the midst of Finnish life.
The design is based on the "poetic sentiment hidden in simplicity," which can be called the point of contact between Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics.
Simple and rational, yet warm and heartwarming. You can feel the happy relationship between people and things.
The design motif is a "book. Taste the food as if you were reading a story.
It was designed by the same designer around 2000, and was manufactured in Finland, but was discontinued when the manufacturer went out of business.
There were many requests for a reprint of the product, so Hiroki Umeda and Kyuemon Kiln met and decided to reprint the product in Arita-yaki in 2020.
It has been reborn with the smooth texture and high strength finish that only Aritayaki-yaki can provide.
