先代は「人々の嗜好やライフスタイルがもの凄いスピードで変わっていく現代、これまで通りの焼物を作っているだけでは、いつの日か存在が薄れてしまうかもしれない」と感じており、
有田焼の材料に拘らず、1980年代から材料の研究開発を始めていました。
そこで誕生したのが､極めて微細な穴を持つセラミックフィルターでした。
画期的なセラミックフィルターでしたが、当時は有田焼の販売も好調で、新たな取り組みをすることに対し、批判的な声もありました。
時代が移り、やがてセラミックフィルターに対する評価も高まり、国内外から注目を浴びるようになりました。

We started researching and developing materials in the 1980s, without being concerned about the materials used in Arita-yaki.
